Taking Care of my Plant–Chance Brassor

This is a photo of my Grandma Shelly and the plant I gave her, named “Shells.”

“Shells” was a plant that I took care of for my grandma; I wanted to give it to her because I know she really enjoys plants and gardening.

I also chose to give it to my grandma because she is patient and loving and will take good care of the plant and appreciate it.

She will take care of something more than she will take care of herself sometimes. I knew I could trust her.

Taking care of the plant taught me that some things do not need a ton of love to survive and thrive because “Shells” did not need a lot of care and attention, just a little bit of love. It also taught me that in the process of taking care of something, there are going to be lessons learned and mistakes made. While we were growing the plants, we had to be careful not to water too much and not to water too little.

“Shells” needed just the right amount of water. I watered the plant once a week, and that was sufficient.
