The Majestic Plant Named Bob.

So my plant is named Bob. I thought Bob was a pretty fitting name since it’s tiny and the name Bob reminds me of the tiny minion from despicable me. While getting the plant and taking care of it, I think I maybe watered Bob twice. School has kept me pretty busy, so poor Bob was neglected most of the time. Anyways other than the fact I am a bad plant parent, I think it was pretty cool that we got to plant them on our own and have this cool opportunity that most classes don’t have.

Something I learned from this is that even though the plant still has to be watered and taken care of it does not require much. In some way, this plant has reminded me of how a human also does not need much to grow and develop. Like humankind, this plant requires its own form of food: water and sunlight. The plant does not need to be watered all the time, but it requires it frequently enough to survive. Sort of how if you care for a human they don’t need much support and help to grow on their own, but they do need to be cared for.

When I take the plant home, I will give it to my mom. I am choosing to give it to her because she really likes plants. Every time my mom gets a plant, she takes really good care of it, though they never seem to stay alive. So by giving her the plant, I know she can at least keep it alive longer than most of her plants live. I know this because she won’t need to water it a lot and even if she forgets sometimes and it dies she can water it again, and it will come back alive. When I decorated the pot for the plant I did not do much; I just put the name “Bob” on it and a smiley face.

Here is me posing with the majestical Bob.
